Staff Accountant
The Plastek Group is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to work in their Tooling Manufacturing Divisions. The staff accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the division’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial related activities. This individual must have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to multi-task.

Required education and experience:
BS Degree in Accounting/Finance
At least 3 years Cost Accounting/ Job Costing experience in a manufacturing environment
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and SAP experience is highly recommended.
Responsibilities:
Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the division.
Reconciliation/analysis of balance sheet and P&L statement accounts for two Plants (Manufacturing Divisions)
Develops and presents Managerial Reporting on a monthly basis, including KPI tracking,
Job Costing
Prepare annual budget and rolling forecasts.
Performs Standard Cost Analysis
Maintains Machine / Labor Rate calculations.
Fixed Asset- Capital Appropriation Request tracking
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or similar software, and accounting software, SAP experience highly preferred.
