Overview
A leading infrastructure‑focused private equity fund is seeking an Associate to join its investment team, focused on power generation with an emphasis on thermal assets. This role offers exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including origination, execution, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and execute investments across thermal power generation (e.g., natural gas, conventional power assets)
Build and maintain complex financial models (project finance / LBO / operating models)
Lead due diligence processes, including commercial, technical, and regulatory workstreams
Support transaction structuring, financing, and negotiations
Prepare investment memos and present to internal committees
Monitor portfolio performance and support value creation initiatives
Qualifications
1–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
Strong preference for experience in power, energy, or infrastructure (thermal generation highly desirable)
Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
