Work days can be somewhat flexible depending on availability and center needs.Bachelor's degree in Education or related fieldState certified teaching license - preferred not required.2-3 years of experience working with children ideally in an educational setting.2-3 years working in a office/customer service facing role.Authorized to work in the US and pass a criminal background check.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and administer student assessments according to Sylvan standardsReview student records and prepare conference materials according to Sylvan standardsRespond to customer inquiries around Sylvan's programming, pricing, and schedulingPrepare student instructional materials, tutor work stations, and student prize centerGreet and assist students, parents, and potential customers according to Sylvan standardsCheck students in and out of the Center with particular attention to student safety and well-beingSupport a variety of other center operational and ad hoc activities, including some light cleaning activitiesDepending on background and experience, may also act as substitute tutorSylvan is long time proven leader in the education industry with over 45 years of helping students who have struggled in the traditional classroom setting succeed academically. Ideal candidates will be available to work 10 -12 hours per week.
