Housekeeping Manager

The Sleep Inn & Mainstay Suites is looking for a motivated, self-starting and seasoned Hospitality professional to fill our vacant Housekeeping Manager position. Position Summary: Manage Guest Room Attendants (Housekeepers), Laundry Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants. Assign job tasks, inspect clean rooms, and continuously train staff, maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms. Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner Manage daily systems use and management, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward Oversee and conduct room inspections Recruit, interview and train new team members QUALIFICATIONS Minimum five years housekeeping experience with three years in a supervisory capacity required Requires knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling Ability Requires ability to perform housekeeping chores (cleaning units or assisting in the laundry) which involve lifting, bending, and stretching Ability to listen effectively as well as communicate in a positive and service oriented manner both orally and in writing to guests and members of the maintenance/hotel staff/ guests Able to work a flexible schedule that will include nights, weekends, and holidays Pleasant, professional, and helpful demeanor Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Ability to Commute: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
