Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Systems Administrator to join our team. The Network Systems Administrator will perform a wide range of network administration functions, managing both on-premises and cloud environments. Under the direction of IT Managers, the Network Systems Administrator will ensure network performance meets company and user requirements, maintaining security, reliability, and scalability across all systems. The Network Systems Administrator will perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and support tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements. The Network Systems Administrator will also provide hardware, software, and infrastructure support for enterprise-wide applications.
Job Functions:
Primary:
Act as an administrator for multiple secure and regularly-audited Windows-based networks via Active Directory and Group Policy across the enterprise.
Administer and support Cisco ASA firewalls, including setup, configuration, and monitoring.
Provide routine networking support for Cisco appliances and related technologies.
Administer and manage VMware environments, including vSphere and vCenter.
Administer SAN devices, ensuring optimal storage performance and reliability.
Set up and maintain small server rooms, including cabling, racking, and equipment configuration.
Work with telecom vendors to install and maintain data circuits, ensuring continuous and reliable connectivity.
Set up and administer site-to-site VPNs, ensuring secure and stable connections between remote locations.
Administer and maintain AWS cloud networking components, including VPCs, security groups, and VPNs.
Troubleshoot networks, servers, workstations, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Provide support to enterprise application installations through troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and problem resolution.
Assist in the administration of all data center functions (production operations, network change control, backup solutions, DR/Business continuity, help desk systems management, and facilities).
Receive, log, and respond to customer-reported issues/requests via email, telephone, and in-person. Ensure reported incidents and resolutions are documented for future reference.
Ensure the security and integrity of the network and server environments through adherence to a series of audit controls.
Maintain strict adherence to change management procedures for all server and network appliances.
Implement procedures to ensure the highest possible levels of system uptime.
Plan and perform testing, including documenting test conditions, expected results, and test validation.
Combine a demonstrated understanding of business process requirements and/or technologies with exceptional customer service in daily responsibilities.
Available to work weekends and assist with weekend maintenance and/or emergency on-call.
In the event of an emergency, available to travel on notice.
Secondary:
Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software.
Maintain site licenses for the department/organization.
Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network and systems availability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or a closely-related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an IT environment.
Extensive experience maintaining Windows-based networks using Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience with all aspects of network administration, including configuring, troubleshooting, and securing Cisco ASA firewalls.
Proficiency in administering VMware environments and SAN devices.
Experience in cabling, racking, and setting up small server rooms.
Experience working with telecom vendors for the installation and maintenance of data circuits.
Experience in AWS cloud networking, including setting up and administering VPCs and site-to-site VPNs.
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP running in a Cisco network.
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely.
Other Desired Qualifications:
Cisco certifications such as CCDA/CCNA.
Knowledge of common security practices and how they are practically enforced within an Active Directory/Group Policy environment.
Experience with PowerShell scripting or any .Net programming language.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
