Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role for a Therapist based in West Hartford, CT, with flexibility for some remote work. The Therapist will provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, focusing on substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating and implementing treatment plans, documenting client progress, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. The Therapist will use evidence-based practices to promote recovery and help clients achieve their personal and therapeutic goals. Qualifications Proficiency in counseling techniques, including individual and group therapyExpertise in addressing substance use and co-occurring mental health concernsStrong skills in creating and maintaining treatment plans and documenting session progressExcellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary teamMaster’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related fieldAppropriate state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) is requiredExperience with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, or Motivational Interviewing is preferredKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standardsExperience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy is a plus
