Material Handler

Forklift OperatorWe are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently load and unload inbound and outbound freight from vehicles and containers. This role involves reading and interpreting freight codes, reconciling driver pick-up and delivery manifests, labeling, weighing, and measuring freight, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping of damaged shipments and misrouted freight. Responsibilities: Load and unload freight from vehicles and containers. Sort freight according to size and destination. Read and interpret freight coding to expedite movement and tracing. Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests. Label, weigh, and measure freight. Perform cleanup activities to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock. Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports. Essential Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts. Experience in material handling. Ability to manage and maintain inventory. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Certified Forklift Operator. Experience as an Equipment Operator. Work Schedules - Rotating 12.5 hour shifts w/ 30 minute lunch: 1A 5am-5:30pm SMTW/SMT 1B 5am-5:30pm WTFS/TFS 2A 5pm-5:30am SMTW/SMT 2B 5pm-5:30am WTFS/TFS Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Independence, KY. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
