The client has built a strong reputation across the Carolinas for delivering high-quality commercial work in healthcare, education, public safety, mixed-use, and community-focused sectors.This opportunity is ideal for a Project Manager who values a relationship-driven, locally based project approach and is looking to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that genuinely invests in its people and long-term project relationships.The OpportunityThe Project Manager will lead onsite project execution from pre-construction handoff through closeout, owning the budget, schedule, subcontractor management, and client relationship for assigned projects. This is a true ownership role with strong support from leadership and meaningful growth potential as the Raleigh office continues to expand.Key ResponsibilitiesLead overall project execution including budget, schedule, quality, and safety performanceServe as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partnersManage buyout, subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and scope coordinationOversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationPartner closely with the Superintendent to drive field execution and schedule adherenceTrack and forecast project financials, including cost reporting, billings, and projectionsCoordinate pre-construction handoff and support estimating during pursuits when neededLead project meetings with owners, design teams, and internal staffEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycleMentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project EngineersQualificationsApproximately 7+ years of commercial construction project management experienceGeneral contractor experience strongly preferredDemonstrated history of successfully running ground-up commercial projects from start to finishExperience across one or more of the following sectors preferred: healthcare, education, public safety, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, or community/municipal workStrong command of project financials, scheduling, and contract administrationProficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft OfficeAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentsOSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtainStrong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused, relationship-driven approachBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredWork EnvironmentThis is an onsite position requiring daily presence at the assigned project site or the Raleigh office within commuting distance of the Triangle market.
