Job DescriptionA Sheet Metal Journeyman and Foreman is responsible for daily work at sites. Work includes all types of sheet metal. Individual should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other persons on the job-site, including our sub-contractors, and represent our company in a professional manner.Responsibilities and DutiesAble to layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems.Reads blueprints and interprets specifications.Installs hangars or supports for systems.Assists with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment as necessary.Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment.Follows all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety. Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.Offloading deliveries and loading truck at job sitesQualifications and Skills8 years of commercial /industrial experience.Ability to read blueprintsKnowledge of general sheet metal and HVAC installationWorking knowledge of all hand and power toolsAbility to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivityBasic math skills, basic computer skills, read & interpret submittalsAbility to run multiple small crews on the same jobsiteAbility to forecast and schedule workAbility to determine materials required for jobsite and orderRequirements:As a condition of employment, all employees must furnish and utilize a smart phone with internet capability and access for daily work related time keeping purposes.BenefitsWe offer excellent benefits to eligible employees.Area Energy & Electric is an equal employment opportunity employer.
