Data Scientist
8+ years of experience in working with large-scale, complex datasets to create/optimize Statistical, machine learning, deep learning, and/or optimization models.
Good hands-on experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL and Hive), scripting languages (e.g. Python, R)
Must have relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction and analysis.
Must have of relevant working experience in visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI).
Directly interact with customers to understand and help solve their business problems using the HCL solutions.
Make research and development contributions to our core service offerings
Interact and collaborate with engineers and product managers, relaying feedback from customers to continually develop our service quality
Explaining the state-of-the-art technology and working on proof-of-concept projects with a rapid turnaround.
Build models and tools using machine learning, statistical modeling, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative techniques.
Identifying relevant data sources for business needs and prepare data in a proper manner to extract insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns
Understand the business reality behind large sets of data and develop meaningful analytic solutions.
Innovate by adapting to new modeling techniques and procedures.
Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters
Communicating verbally and in writing to business customers and leadership team with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations
Practical understanding and hands-on experience with regression (Linear, Non-Linear), time series and forecasting modelling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to research scientists, engineering teams and business audiences
Hands-on experience with both supervised learning methods and unsupervised learning methods (K-means, hierarchical clustering, association rules, principal components).
