We have 2 scenic locations, Captree in Babylon and Jones Beach Bait & Tackle at Field 10 in Jones Beach State Park.Title: Fry CookReports To: General ManagerDepartment: Food & BeverageThis position is located in Jones Beach State ParkSummary of Position: The Fry Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking fried food items in accordance with company recipes, food safety standards, and quality expectations. This role ensures timely food preparation, maintains a clean and organized workstation, and contributes to a positive guest experience through consistency and efficiency.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items using fryers, including but not limited to fries, chicken, seafood, and other fried productsFollow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelinesMonitor oil quality, temperature, and cooking times to ensure food safety and qualityMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, fry station, and equipmentAdhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsAssist with food prep tasks such as breading, battering, and portioning ingredientsStock and replenish fry station supplies as neededWork collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely order completionProperly store food items and label according to guidelinesReport equipment issues or safety concerns to management promptlyOther duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned.Position Requirements:Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferredBasic understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to operate kitchen equipment such as deep fryers safelyMust be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shiftsMust have excellent communication skills and be able to count change and reconcile paperworkMajority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other peopleNassau County Food Handlers LicenseHourly Rate - $20.00Knowledge and Experience:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Culinary training/experience (1 year minimum)Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law.
