Medasource is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a travel job in Indianapolis, Indiana.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Radiology TechnicianDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: Travel X-Ray Technologist Job Description ResponsibilitiesOperate imaging equipment including x-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable x-ray systemsPrepare and position patients appropriately for imaging proceduresExplain exams and procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understandingCollaborate with radiologists, surgeons, and referring physicians to obtain accurate diagnostic imagesFollow all radiation safety and infection control protocolsDocument patient history, imaging details, and necessary information within the EMR systemMonitor patients during exams and procedures to ensure safety and comfortAssist with minimally invasive and surgical procedures as neededMaintain imaging equipment and ensure proper functionalityStay current with continuing education and industry standardsQualifications0–3 years of relevant radiology experience preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association requiredActive Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R) certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or recent graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (board eligible)Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiologic Technologist license or active ISDH Student Permit requiredAbility to maneuver imaging equipment and adapt patient positioning based on patient condition and mobility limitationsStrong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills in a fast-paced healthcare environmentAbout MedasourceHere at Medasource, the heartbeat of healthcare meets boundless opportunities!
