Under general supervision, this position is responsible for skilled and semi-skilled work in maintaining and repairing the District's roadway, landscape, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, and storm drainage systems. Duties involve manual labor, operating equipment, and responding to both routine and emergency maintenance situations. Must reside within a 20-mile radius of the District's office for on-call duty.Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and use hand tools for repair and installation tasks.Maintenance Technician II: Two years of experience in utility, construction, or public works maintenance.Maintenance Technician III: Four years of progressively responsible experience in utility, construction, or public works maintenance, along with demonstrated leadership and crew coordination experience.Supplemental InformationBenefits:CPVMD participates in PERA, offering Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plans.CPVMD offers comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance (100% premium covered for employees and a portion for dependents), disability and life insurance.CPVMD currently offers 10 paid holidays for employees, plus PTO accrual beginning at 160 hours per year initially.Work Environment:Work takes place in water treatment facilities, pump stations, shops, and outdoor field locations under varied weather conditions.
