Front Desk Associate: Part Time

Central Bark is looking for a Part Time Front Desk Associate who is very outgoing, personable, mature, upbeat, and customer service oriented. Most of all - YOU MUST LOVE DOGS! The Front Desk Associate is the main point of contact for pet parents and a critical link to guest satisfaction as you drive customers’ overall impression of Central Bark. The job requires you to be on time, warmly greet customers and dogs upon entering our store, answer phone calls and emails, promote our services, and most importantly – provide excellent customer service to ensure each guest has a positive experience at Central Bark! This requires great people, phone and multi-tasking skills. Previous customer service experience (Sales, Customer Service, Call Center, Receptionist) and the ability to engage and educate customers about our services is a must. The successful candidate will have great organization skills, be a born multi-tasker and able to work independently. Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs are necessary. Reliability and punctuality are critical for this role. Previous Veterinary, or dog daycare, boarding facility experience is a plus! DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: Ensure all opening duties are completed properly and the reception area is ready to accept customers Warmly greet all guests and their dogs as they enter our establishment Organize and process customer check-ins; coordinating suite placement and walking the dog to their playgroup/suite Check out departing dog; return of client possessions, collection of payment, and running dogs from their suites to their parent Answer in-coming phone calls, listen and respond to voicemails, respond to emails - all in a timely, problem-solving manner Speak with existing and new customers to promote daycare, boarding, grooming and training services Use our computer software program to schedule services, enter customer information and update dog vaccination records Keep the reception area neat and clean at all times As needed, assist daycare attendants in walking dogs to suites/playgroups. Successful candidates must be able to reliably work each of these hours.
