Project Control Specialist

Project Controls SpecialistWe are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support large-scale industrial and capital projects through cost analysis, forecasting, scheduling support, and process improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and field personnel to provide accurate project reporting and help drive overall project performance.The ideal candidate will have experience in project controls functions including cost tracking, forecasting, and scheduling, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to improve and streamline project controls processes and reporting.**Please note this position will require 50%+ travel to project sites. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project controls activities for capital and industrial projects, including cost management, forecasting, and progress reportingMaintain and analyze project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecastsAssist project teams with monthly forecasting and variance analysisDevelop and maintain project controls reports, dashboards, and metricsSupport scheduling activities using Primavera P6, including schedule updates, progress tracking, and coordination with project teamsIdentify project risks, cost impacts, and schedule concerns, and communicate findings to leadershipAssist with change management tracking and reportingWork cross-functionally with operations, finance, procurement, and project management teamsHelp enhance and improve existing project controls processes, tools, and reporting methodologiesEnsure data accuracy and consistency across project controls systems and reportsQualifications5+ years of experience in project controls, cost analysis, project accounting, or related project support functionsExperience with cost tracking, forecasting, and project reporting requiredWorking knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software preferredExperience with Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP/project management systems strongly preferredStrong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting capabilitiesExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environmentExperience supporting industrial, construction, manufacturing, or capital projects is a plusPreferred CharacteristicsProcess improvement mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutionsStrong attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated and proactive approach to problem solvingAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
