Role OverviewThe Intelligence Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality, actionable intelligence in a maritime operational context. The role requires sound analytical judgment, the ability to work independently, and confidence producing assessments that inform operational and strategic decision-making. Based in Washington, DC, this role operates with a high degree of day-to-day autonomy while remaining closely aligned with the broader Intelligence function. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own workload, engaging stakeholders locally, and maintaining consistent analytical standards without constant oversight.Must haven skills:Solid experience in an intelligence, analytical, or investigative roleDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesStrong critical thinking skills and defensible analytical judgmentExperience producing clear, decision-ready written intelligence outputsConfidence operating with limited supervision in a hybrid or distributed teamProfessional maturity and stakeholder awarenessKey ResponsibilitiesLead intelligence analysis on assigned maritime-related topics, risks, or areas of interestAnalyse and synthesise information from multiple tools, platforms, and datasetsProduce structured intelligence reports, assessments, and briefings to support decision-makingIdentify trends, behavioural patterns, and emerging maritime risks across diverse sourcesApply structured analytical techniques to assess likelihood, impact, and confidenceValidate sources and maintain clear documentation of analytical reasoningRespond to time-sensitive intelligence requirements with professionalism and sound judgmentBrief findings to stakeholders and represent the Intelligence function as requiredSupport and provide guidance to more junior analysts where appropriateUphold and reinforce analytical standards across distributed team environmentsDesirableExperience in maritime intelligence, shipping, logistics, or related domainsFamiliarity with vessel tracking, maritime risk, or domain awareness conceptsExperience briefing senior or government stakeholdersExperience working in cross-functional or geographically distributed teamsWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
