Coding instructor/Lobby assistant

A _*Unity development tutor is needed in our center, and will be prioritized for filling this position.*_ _*This is continued position, not available for only summer employment.*_ We are looking for a Sensei to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds. We will all be working toward a common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children ages 8-14 with block/beginner coding, JavaScript, C#, or Java . This individual reviews fundamentals and vocabulary with fun activities and games, they provide instruction and oversee different STEM activities biweekly, they assist with child check in and out, as well as lesson discussions for children during their sessions. Key Responsibilities: * Assist children with their coding curriculum and complete session check outs. * Monitor student engagement during sessions, provide feedback on performance, and encourage active participation in learning activities. * Maintain a welcoming lobby environment by greeting visitors, managing scheduling for classes or tutoring sessions, and ensuring smooth check-in procedures. * Assist students with hands-on coding exercises, and provide personalized tutoring to enhance understanding. * Perform parent inquiry tours, showcasing our programs and answering questions. Sales goals and bonus structure available based on performance * Answer phones, schedule trial sessions, and provide excellent customer service * Set up weekly “brain break” activities for children * Assist with classroom transitions and help ensure children have a positive and engaging experience * Welcome all arriving children and families, as well as communicate the day’s activities with exiting families after sessions. * Foster a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during their breaks and classes · Qualifications: * Knowledge of coding or STEM concepts * Effective at working with students of varying ages and backgrounds; patient mentoring skills are essential * Strong customer service skills and/or experience in sales * Bubbly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills * Ability to take initiative and work independently * Ability to answer phones and handle inquiries professionally * Effective at working with students of varying ages and backgrounds; patient mentoring skills are essential * Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and stay organized * Must be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment Pay: From $14.00 per hour Work Location: In person
