HelloHope you are doing great,Job Title: Lead/Senior Data Warehouse Engineer Architect - Azure Cloud Migration & ModernizationLocation: RemoteContract: Long TermJob Description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead/Senior Data Warehouse Engineer with strong experience in modernizing and migrating legacy applications to Microsoft Azure, along with deep expertise in data warehousing and healthcare systems (preferably State Medicaid projects).This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions while ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities• Lead the migration of legacy/on-prem applications to Azure cloud platform, including rehosting, refactoring, and re-architecting strategies• Design and implement end-to-end Azure solutions leveraging services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Data Lake• Build and optimize data warehouse solutions for large-scale healthcare datasets• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar tools• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, architects, QA, and stakeholders) to define system requirements• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, CMS guidelines)• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of applications and data pipelines• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior developersKey Skills• Cloud Migration & Modernization• Data Engineering & Warehousing• Healthcare Domain Expertise• System Integration & APIs• Performance Optimization• Problem Solving & LeadershipRequired Qualifications• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field• 10+ years of software development experience• Strong experience with Azure cloud platform and migration strategies• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, .NET, Java, or Python• Hands-on experience with:• Azure Data Factory• Azure SQL / Synapse Analytics• Azure Data Lake Storage• Azure DevOps / CI-CD pipelines• Solid experience in data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema)• Experience with API development and system integrations• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)Preferred Qualifications• Experience working on State Medicaid or healthcare systems• Familiarity with provider enrollment, claims processing, or eligibility systems• Knowledge of healthcare data standards:• EDI X12 transactions (837, 834, 835, 278)• HL7 / FHIR• Experience with Databricks, Spark, or big data technologies• Exposure to cloud security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST)• Certification in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer)• Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI for reporting and analyticsNice to Have• Experience with Edifecs or healthcare integration platforms• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)• Prior experience working with state agencies or public sector clients
