Locum APP Opportunity Trauma Surgery / Critical Care San Francisco Start Date: August 4 Assignment Length: 26 WeeksA high-volume Level 1 trauma center in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for a locum assignment supporting trauma and critical care services across the ED, inpatient floor, and ICU settings.Position HighlightsBusiest trauma center in the Bay AreaAPP will provide care for critically ill and injured patients throughout the continuum of careCollaborative environment with residents and multidisciplinary teamsExposure to trauma, emergency, ICU, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and critical care patientsPatient Volume2025 patients per day shared with resident team on the floor512 trauma activations dailyResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage trauma and emergency patientsCare for critically ill patients from ED through ICU and inpatient unitsAssist with trauma activations and acute stabilizationManage complex medical and surgical conditions including:ShockAcute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)StrokeNeurosurgical conditionsOrthopedic traumaRequired QualificationsActive California license at time of submissionCalifornia DEA requiredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum 1 year of trauma experience required OR ICU experience Comfortable working with trauma and ED patientsPreferred QualificationsLevel 1 trauma experience strongly preferred / ICU experience highly preferredExperience with:Arterial linesCentral linesChest tubesBackground in neurosurgery, ICU, emergency medicine, or orthopedics consideredATLS preferredThis is an excellent opportunity for an APP seeking high-acuity trauma experience within a premier Bay Area trauma center.Interested?
