Job Summary
PNE Construction (PNEC) – a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC Company, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company and clients.
Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of four divisions include Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC has offices in multiple states.
PNE Construction is a full-service design-build contractor that has the capability to design and build many projects. The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring every one of PNEC’s builds are a success by managing various but important projects, processes, and tasks. The ideal candidate for this position would be an individual who is able to multi-task many priorities at once, be a team player by providing support to project managers and team and assist the project throughout every step until completion.
Education and Experience Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License Required
Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or equivalent experience required.
1-2 years’ experience in construction required.
Knowledge of construction trade principals, techniques, and procedures.
Working experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Project.
Multi-task efficiently and manage multiple tasks while still adhering to strict deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Construction Project Engineer possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:
Review and ensure blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings are being followed on time and in budget. Communicating any discrepancies as they arise.
Assist Project Manager in managing on-site construction activities and interactions between all parties.
Monitor daily work activities for quality, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner. Reporting job status/daily progress as needed.
Ensuring job site safety requirements are being always adhered to.
Provide technical guidance to team, including the utilization of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Project.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and specifications.
Daily management of project updating RI, submittals and scheduling activities.
Manage all documentation and project controls systems and procedures, ensuring all appropriate documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet all requirements.
Develop working knowledge of the project budget and identifies exposures to the project budget throughout the execution of the project.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
Move about the jobsite as needed.
Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
