Boutique Workers’ Compensation and Employment Firm seeks a legal assistant/ case manager for our Workers’ Compensation Department. Must have 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have experience processing all aspects of a workers’ compensation case under the direction of an experienced attorney and with the assistance of a support team. We are looking for a results-driven individual, who works well under pressure, and can prioritize and balance competing demands.
Must be Spanish speaking.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
Preparing applications; petitions; DORs (including e-filing);
Drafting written correspondence;
Scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations;
Requesting QME Panels,
IMR appeals, preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records;
Maintaining and organizing files, and managing case files from intake to settlement;
Communicating with clients and opposing counsel and fielding incoming calls;
Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and possess excellent writing skills;
preparing the files for the attorney for upcoming hearings;
MerusCase familiarity is a plus.
