Hardware Engineer

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer in Fremont, CA or La Vergne, TN. You will contribute to the failure analysis of hardware products across platforms such as servers and networking equipment. This role will take ownership of issue debugging and conduct in-depth failure analyses. The Hardware Engineer will support engineering and production teams by providing actionable insights that improve product reliability, manufacturability, and quality. This position is part of the Engineering Services team, which works across departments to support the engineering and operation teams with technical expertise in electronics, operational software, and systems integration. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Due to the cross-functional nature of the team’s responsibilities, candidates with a solid and practical foundation in electronics and hardware system integration are highly preferred. - Working knowledge of server systems, including hardware components and diagnostic procedures. -PCB Design experience- Familiarity with hardware such as network switches, power distribution systems, and personal computing devices, with the ability to assist in their integration or troubleshooting. - Understanding of computer hardware architecture, including experience applying concepts like PCI-e, USB, and system buses in test or debug scenarios. -3+ years of experience in hardware design and embedded systems [Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD) -Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design - Proficient with test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and soldering/rework equipment, with experience applying them in lab or production environments. - Experience working with or troubleshooting management protocols (e.g., Redfish, IPMI) during validation or issue resolution.
