Vehicle Operator (CDL A)

We are hiring experienced CDL A Drivers to support advanced vehicle testing operations involving driver-assist and autonomous driving technology. This role combines professional commercial driving with vehicle testing, safety inspections, and collaboration with engineering teams.The ideal candidate has strong tractor-trailer experience, a clean driving record, and is comfortable operating various fleet vehicles while following strict DOT and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles on public roads and closed-course test environmentsTest driver-assist and autonomous vehicle features while maintaining full control and awareness of vehicle operationsPerform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including DVIR documentationProvide clear written and verbal feedback regarding vehicle and system performanceDrive and back 53' dry vans safely and efficientlyFollow DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and operational guidelines at all timesAssist with additional operational tasks as neededMaintain a professional attitude and work collaboratively with internal teams RequirementsValid CDL A license and current DOT medical cardMinimum 5 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experienceExperience operating and backing 53' dry vansAbility to drive for extended periodsOpen to travel up to 50% as neededAbility to pass DOT drug screening, background check, MVR review, physical, and road testClean driving record with strong safety history Driving Record RequirementsNo more than 2 minor moving violations within the last 3 yearsNo serious traffic violations within the last 5 yearsNo DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving drugs/alcohol within the last 10 yearsNo preventable accidents within the last 3 yearsNo preventable DOT-recordable accidents within the last 10 years Preferred QualificationsInterest in driver-assistance systems and autonomous vehicle technologyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsTeam-oriented mindset and professional demeanor
