Position: Assistant Golf ProfessionalDepartment: Keith HillsStatus: Full TimePosition SummaryThe Assistant Golf Professional is charged with performing daily tasks necessary for running the business operations at Keith Hills Golf Club & Learning Academy. The Assistant Golf Professional aids in completing all necessary forms related to best business practices and guidelines set forth by Campbell University. The Assistant Golf Professional directs and supervises part-time staff members to facilitate a professional atmosphere at Keith Hills.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAids in completing all records of income by generating and sending invoices, recording and receiving revenues, completing and recording deposits and aiding the Director of Golf in accurate counts of all deposits and petty cash.Maintains accurate counts and records of inventory monthly.Receives products and maintains an organized stockroom and retail space.Ships products for custom orders and maintains corresponding records.Assists the Director of Golf in scheduling and placing orders for the retail space.Generates Purchase Requisition Forms (PRF’s) for all products ordered, receives Purchase Orders (PO’s), and codes all Invoices with corresponding PO’s for the golf shop department at Keith Hills.Approves payroll on a bi-weekly basis for employees at Keith Hills.Generates and submits forms needed for aspects of Human Resources, not to include pay or budget data.Supervises the part-time Cart Staff and Golf Shop Staff positions and makes the schedule for upcoming weeks.Books tee-times and provides customer service pertaining to tee-times, retail and golf-related questions.Aides in setup and coordination of tournaments and events at Keith Hills to include planning, requesting quotes, setup, scoring, and takedown of events.Any other job duties as assigned by the Director of Golf.Education/ExperienceAS degree or higher in business preferred.1 or more years’ experience in golf.1 or more years’ experience in a retail business.Experience in higher education or non-profit sector is also preferred.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesMaintain a valid North Carolinas driver’s license.Knowledge of the game of golf and the golf industry.Leadership and supervisory skills.Strong focus and accurate and timely reporting and record-keeping of financial data.Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with golfers, faculty, staff, students, and university officials.Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment.Upon hire, have a broad knowledge of, and abide by, Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX and FERPA guidelines.
