Job DescriptionAramark is seeking an experienced General Manager ? Facilities to lead integrated facilities operations within a higher education environment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing maintenance, custodial, grounds, and campus facilities operations across multiple university locations while serving as a strategic partner to campus leadership.The ideal candidate will bring strong higher education facilities management experience, operational leadership, financial oversight, and a proven ability to manage complex campus environments. This position requires a leader who understands the unique demands of university facilities operations, including academic buildings, student-facing environments, campus partnerships, deferred maintenance planning, safety compliance, and service excellence.CompensationBase Salary: $100,000 ? $120,000Annual Incentive Bonus Target: 10%ScheduleMonday ? Friday from 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PMAdditional availability may be required based on campus operations, emergencies, or special projectsWhat You?ll LeadOversight of approximately 32 full-time employeesLeadership across:Facilities MaintenanceCustodial OperationsGrounds OperationsManagement of academic buildings, dining facilities, campus common spaces, and supporting infrastructureDirect interaction with university leadership, campus stakeholders, and client partnersThis role oversees approximately 500,000 square feet of campus facilities across three satellite campuses located within close proximity of one another.Job ResponsibilitiesFacilities Operations LeadershipLead all day-to-day facilities management operations across campus environmentsEnsure safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient delivery of maintenance, custodial, and grounds servicesDevelop operational strategies that support the university?s academic mission and campus experienceOversee preventative maintenance and asset management programs to improve equipment reliability and building performanceEnsure facilities are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational readinessClient & Campus PartnershipServe as the primary facilities leadership contact for university stakeholders and campus leadershipBuild strong relationships with clients, administrators, faculty, and operational partnersSupport campus initiatives, events, operational priorities, and long-term planning effortsMaintain high levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness across campus operationsFinancial ManagementManage operating budgets, forecasting, labor planning, and financial performanceIdentify opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings, and service improvementsSupport capital planning, deferred maintenance prioritization, and vendor managementTeam LeadershipLead, coach, and develop facilities managers, supervisors, and frontline teamsFoster a culture focused on accountability, safety, service excellence, and employee engagementSupport recruiting, training, workforce planning, and succession development initiativesSafety, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, local/state regulations, and university safety standardsLead emergency response coordination and business continuity planning effortsMaintain strong safety programs and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the operationQualificationsBachelor?s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of progressive facilities management leadership experience, preferably within a higher education or complex institutional environment.Demonstrated experience managing large teams and diverse facility portfolios.Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and compliance standards.What We?re Looking ForStrong leadership background within higher education facilities managementExperience managing complex campus or institutional facilities environmentsProven ability to oversee maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations simultaneouslyStrong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and operational planningExperience leading large frontline facilities teamsStrong client relationship and executive communication skillsAbility to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadershipAbout AramarkOur MissionRooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.At Aramark, we believe that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunity and be free to participate in all aspects of the company.
