Responsible for direct patient care, care coordination, and clinical assessment in an acute care environment.Responsibilities:Deliver direct patient care for assigned Medical-Surgical patientsPerform ongoing assessments and monitor patient condition and response to treatmentCommunicate changes in condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physiciansAdminister medications, IV therapy, and treatments per ordersProvide patient and family education and guide nursing support staffRespond quickly and accurately to changes in patient statusMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentationEnsure compliance with patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standardsQualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.Ventilator Management experience preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.#LI-TA1 #appcastCentral Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine.
