This role is designed for a proven industry professional who understands the technical, relational, and commercial dynamics of selling through dealer networks to contractor and installer channels. This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for a recognized, respected operator in the space-someone who can immediately engage dealers, influence buying decisions, and drive revenue growth through disciplined execution and strong relationships.Core ResponsibilitiesTerritory Growth & Revenue GenerationOwn and grow a defined territory across hearth, grills, outdoor heating, and related product categoriesExpand existing dealer relationships while aggressively prospecting and onboarding new accountsDrive revenue through dealer sell-in and support dealer sell-through to contractors and end customersChannel DevelopmentBuild strong relationships with:Independent dealersAppliance retailersOutdoor and Hearth resellersUnderstand contractor needs and influence dealer stocking decisions accordinglySales Execution & ClosingIdentify, qualify, and close high-value opportunitiesDistinguish between real pipeline opportunities and low-probability conversationsMaintain a disciplined sales funnel with clear next steps and follow-upTechnical & Product ExpertiseDemonstrate strong working knowledge of installation, venting, fuel types, and product applicationsAct as a trusted advisor to dealers and contractors on product selection and use casesCRM & Reporting DisciplineManage pipeline, accounts, and activities within CRM (Salesforce preferred)Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity trackingUse CRM as a system of execution-not just reportingMarket IntelligenceProvide feedback on competitor activity, pricing, and product gapsIdentify opportunities for new product placement and category expansionQualifications & ExperienceIndustry Background (Required)Direct experience in outdoor living, hearth, grills, heating, HVAC, or appliance channelsExperience selling to dealers, distributors, or contractor-facing businessesFamiliarity with installation environments and technical product considerationsSales ProfileProven track record of closing deals and exceeding territory targetsStrong follow-up discipline and pipeline managementAbility to operate independently in a field-based, travel-heavy roleProfessional PresenceKnown and respected within relevant industry circlesCommands credibility with dealers, contractors, and partnersStrong communication and relationship-building skillsTechnical OrientationComfortable discussing installation, specifications, and product performanceAble to translate technical features into commercial valueTools & SystemsExperience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred but not required)Proficient in managing territory activity and reportingKey Traits for SuccessRoad Warrior Mentality - thrives in a high-travel, field-driven roleCloser's Instinct - knows when and how to move a deal forwardCommercial Judgment - can quickly assess real opportunities vs. noiseEnergy & Drive - high-output, self-motivated, and resilientAccountability - owns results and follows through on commitmentsTarget Salary: $ 70,000 + bonus/commission (OTE $ 125-150k)Job RequirementsWhat You'll Bring:What Sets You Apart:Additional Information:Compensation & StructureCompetitive base salary + uncapped commissionPerformance-based incentives tied to territory growthTravel and business expenses coveredAfter you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
