Management consulting services round out the offering, giving clients guidance on improving operations, profitability, and long-term financial health.Role Description The Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Monroe, LA. This role is responsible for managing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The Tax Manager will oversee tax planning engagements, identify tax-saving opportunities, and provide proactive advisory support to clients throughout the year. Daily tasks include supervising and mentoring team members, reviewing their work, managing engagement timelines, and maintaining clear communication with clients. The role also involves staying current with changes in tax law, assisting with IRS and state tax notices or audits, and contributing to the firm’s process improvements and best practices.QualificationsStrong tax technical skills in Tax Planning and Tax Compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.Hands-on experience in Tax Preparation across various entity types (individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary returns).Solid understanding of Tax Law and general Tax principles, including research and documentation of positions.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.6+years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.Proficiency with tax and accounting software, along with strong Excel and general computer skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines.Strong communication and client service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with diverse clients.
