Lead Project Engineer

Engineering Project Manager:We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead capital projects, facility repairs, renovations, and process improvement work. This role involves managing small to medium-sized projects from planning to completion.Responsibilities: • Lead engineering projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closeout • Prepare project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and budget documents • Coordinate with leadership teams, internal departments, and external contractors • Support facility upgrades, equipment installation, and infrastructure improvements • Solve technical and operational problems using engineering principles • Present project updates, financial reports, and business case justifications to management • Manage multiple projects at the same time and ensure deadlines are met • Guide and support team members while maintaining strong teamwork and communicationRequirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field • Minimum 5 years of engineering and project management experience • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Experience with project estimating, scheduling, and cost control • Knowledge of problem-solving methods like PMBOK, DMAIC, and structured troubleshooting • Ability to work onsite, in the field, and in the office as neededPreferred Skills: • Experience with MS Project, MS Excel, and SharePoint • PMI certification or Professional Engineering certification • Experience with facility design, equipment installation, and commissioning • Corning Capital project experience is a plusSoft Skills: • Positive attitude and strong work ethic • Team player with good communication skills • Flexible, reliable, and results-oriented • Honest, approachable, and committed to high-quality work
