Our club features multiple dining venues, private event spaces, award winning golf, and year-round social programming. In 2023, construction was completed on the new state-of-the-art clubhouse. It serves as the social center for golf events, with casual and fine dining, premier banquet facilities, and a rooftop lounge and patio that overlooks the 9th and 18th greens, as well as exhilarating views of the Newport River and its beautiful salt marshes.We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Food & Beverage Director to lead all dining, beverage, and service operations for our club. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience while driving operational excellence, financial performance, staff development, and innovation across multiple dining venues and club events.The ideal candidate is a hands-on visible leader with a strong background in private clubs, luxury hospitality, or upscale dining environments who thrives in a member-focused culture. Being on the floor, present, and accessible to our membership is an essential part of this role. What you’ll do:• Be a visible and present leader on the floor during daily food and beverage operations at all times• This role will work closely and collaborate with the Executive Chef and Banquet manager to create unforgettable dining experiences• Daily F&B service including overseeing kitchen operations, FOH, togo and bar service • Employee management including hiring/firing, training and scheduling• Working with other department heads to achieve Club operational goals• Inventory and cost control• Work with Clubhouse manager to budget standards• Working with other department heads to achieve member retention goals• Attending required meetings• Work to resolve any conflict in a professional and fair manner• Manage member satisfaction within the food and beverage department• Develop short-term and long-term goals for your department Qualifications• Degree in hospitality management or 2 – 4 years of private club management experience or luxury hospitality preferred• Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits• Strong knowledge of service standards• Excellent communication skills both written and “people” skills• Outgoing personality and a love of “making people happy”• Must be open to feedback, growth and personal and professional development Reports to: Clubhouse Manager Benefits of working at Morehead City CC!• Health insurance, vision, dental• CMAA membership and other professional development opportunities• Free employee meals• Golf privileges and pro shop discounts• Holiday bonus fund• Team appreciation events/outings• Beautiful and positive work environment with a close-knit team!
