Business Devlopment Manager - Energy Construction

In this role, you'll cultivate and manage client relationships with a focus on the Energy sector.The position blends remote and on-site work, with an emphasis on specifying mechanical products for major Energy projects (power, chemical, oil & gas companies, and more). Your day-to-day activities may involve presenting to executive teams in boardrooms as well as working hands-on with Mechanical Engineers. You'll partner closely with internal support teams to ensure client requirements are met at every stage of the project.A major component of this role includes developing and sustaining strong relationships with mechanical engineers and other owner-side stakeholders. The company actively supports client engagement through networking events, happy hours, professional meetups, sporting events, and similar activities. ~20% travel is required.THE QUALIFICATIONS:7+ years of experience in industrial construction territory salesMUST have experience selling into the energy sector (EX: power, chemical, oil & gas, etc.)Experience working for an industrial manufacturer, MEP engineering firm, General Contractor, or other construction related firmsStrong understanding of mechanical piping systems and/or commercial HVACGenuine enthusiasm for client interaction and professional networkingMust live in the Kansas City, MO area willing to travel ~20% overnight to visit customers, trainings, and eventsBachelor's degree requiredTHE BENEFITS:Negotiable six-figure base salary DOE + biannual commissions/bonusesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits starting Day 1Generous 401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysCompany-provided vehicle, phone, and laptopCorporate credit card and covered vehicle maintenanceOpportunity to join a stable, growth-oriented organization focused on long-term success
