Direct Care Shelter and Housing

Our Diversion, Shelter and Housing division is looking for new members to join our diverse and dynamic team. Daily responsibilities include providing direct services to program clients living within one of our 3 different shelter models.RESPONSIBILITIES:Constant supervision of participants within the shelterMotivate participants to maintain apartment/house upkeepMonitor participants are adhering to agency guidelines including curfew, unattended children and child safety rules and health and safety guidelineEncourage participants to maintain constant communication with caseworker, employment specialist, and housing specialistAdhere to all other standards as set forth by CHDREQUIREMENTS Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience working with a homeless populationStrong interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needsMust have a vehicle for work use and current driver's license; able to maintain clear and distinct boundariesAll candidates must complete and pass background record screening processBilingual candidates fluent in Spanish or Haitian Creole are encouraged to applyTake advantage of a competitive rate of $20/hour along with a phenomenal benefits package that includes Dental, Health and Life insurance.
