The company takes pride in its seamless distribution network and dedication to customer satisfaction.Role Description:Home City Ice is seeking a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician who has knowledge and experience in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. This individual will have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems while being a part of a team that values professional growth and are passionate about their work.Location:Candidates must reside in or near one of the following cities to accommodate travel: Detroit, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis.Key Responsibilities:Safely perform preventative maintenance on ammonia and freon refrigeration systems.Troubleshoot issues with systems, in-person and over-the-phone.Identify preventative maintenance opportunities for various systems. Document all repair details following company procedures.Complete projects such as shaft seal replacements, recirculator pump rebuilding, large motor swaps, GEA compressor swaps, and PVC plumbing.Assist in installing freon refrigeration systems for new and existing locations.Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory to ensure the equipment needed is available.Maintain safe working environments by complying with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety.Lead the process of pressure relief valve replacements, compressor oil changes, oil filter changes, and coalescer changes.Qualifications/Requirements:Minimum of 15 years of experience in refrigeration service with ammonia.High school diploma or GED.GEA Certification, or willingness to become certified at the Company’s expense.Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.Willingness to travel 30%-40%, including air travel. This may include availability to be on call during nights/weekends as needed.Compensation & Benefits:Base salary range of $120,000 - $130,000.Competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, and 401k.A company-provided vehicle.Cell phone stipend (monthly).
