This team works with state of the art surveying equipment and offers flexible schedules including 10 hour day work schedule Monday thru Thursday.For information on our Geospatial team, follow this link - https://vimeo.com/390798645/f3e8decde8Your ImpactSupervise Survey Crew (1-2 staff crews)Keep accurate, organized and complete field notesCommunicate with office staff on daily basisOperate and maintain robotic instrument, total stations, sdata collector, GPS (fast static, RTK and VRS), digital levelsUse and obtain historical data from property/utility records, deeds, land/property titles, structural plans, and other matrices for land surveying activitiesFollows state specific standards of practice to provide professional survey assistance that accounts for accurate survey data, and determines conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, boundaries, and construction specificationsAssist with writing surveying reports summarizing site inspection and survey findings and conclusions; generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation using photographs, sketches, calculations, software, spreadsheets, technical drawings, 2D/3D illustrations, and reportsWork collaboratively with other professionals, engineers, scientists, project control, and technicians on assigned survey tasksPerform weekly instruments calibrations in order to maintain their accuracyEnsure that both you and your crews comply daily with WSP and client specific safety guidelines and provide required safety documentation and recordsEngage in occasional contact with client personnel to schedule and coordinate project survey activitiesRemain current in latest survey knowledge, techniques, and practicesExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresWho You AreRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent5+ years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior surveying experience with easements, rights of way, plats, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, property descriptions, and GPS surveysExcellent communication skills, field note taking, good math skills, ability to work as a one-person crew as necessaryAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPhysically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignmentsAbility to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundingsExperience with both public and private sector work (e.g. state, city, county, utility districts, and private land development)Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environmentMust successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening, including a valid Driver's licenseProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Leica Based Survey Equipment preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of various DOT survey and SUE experienceTransmission and Distribution Line survey experienceKnowledge of FAA sUAS Part 107 requirements and sUAS Pilot Licensure with relevant flight experienceAssociates Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology or related areasExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook#LI-AC2
