Senior Billing Specialist

Job Summary: Assign accurate medical codes using American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) guidelines and standards (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) Review clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness. Submit insurance claims electronically and monitor claim status. Follow up on denied or rejected claims and prepare appeals as neededEnsure claims are submitted correctly the first time to minimize rework. Communicate with payers to resolve billing issues. Stay updated on coding changes, payer policies, and regulatory updates.
