This role requires expertise in Oracle and SQL Server databases, with a focus on performance optimization, data integrity, and security in mission-critical environments.ResponsibilitiesLead database administration team supporting enterprise applicationsManage Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environmentsDesign and implement database architectures and data modelsPerform database performance tuning and optimizationDevelop and maintain PL/SQL and T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggersImplement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery proceduresMonitor database health and proactively address issuesManage database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activitiesEnsure database security and compliance with DoD standardsCoordinate with application teams on database requirementsImplement data replication and high availability solutionsMentor and develop junior database administratorsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMinimum 8 years of database administration experienceMinimum 3 years in team leadership roleCompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database AdministratorExpert knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c and SQL Server 2016/2019Proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL developmentActive Security Clearance RequiredDesired QualificationsExperience with PostgreSQL or other open-source databasesExperience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, OCI)Oracle RAC and Data Guard experienceExperience with database automation toolsData modeling and ETL experienceTechnical SkillsOracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQLPL/SQL, T-SQL, performance tuningBackup/recovery, Data Guard, Always OnDatabase security, encryption, auditingData modeling, ETL, reportingIPTA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
