As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards. *Responsibilities* * Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. * Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast systems, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff. * Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist guests in making informed choices. * Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. * Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail in presentation and accuracy. * Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. * Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. * Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and adhering to sanitation standards. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while maintaining communication regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions. * Assist with training new staff members in service protocols and restaurant procedures as needed. *Requirements* * Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is required. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests effectively. * Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. * Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is also beneficial. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. * Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. * Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is desirable. * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. * Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality.
