Operations Manager - New Jersey - Personal Care Contract Manufacturer I’m currently working with a personal care contract manufacturer to hire an Operations Manager to join their leadership team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products to a diverse customer base. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, and resource allocationDrive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and cost optimization initiativesEnsure on-time delivery and adherence to customer specifications and quality standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Customer Service teamsLead, develop, and mentor production teams and supervisorsMonitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, output, and downtimeSupport scale-up of new products and technology transfers from R&D into manufacturingEnsure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirementsIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally within personal care, cosmetics, or FMCGProven leadership experience in a contract manufacturing or high-mix production environmentStrong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirementsDemonstrated success in driving operational improvements and managing KPIsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience in personal care, cosmetics, or OTC manufacturingFamiliarity with batch processing, compounding, and filling/packaging operationsExposure to private label or contract manufacturing business modelsExperience implementing Lean or continuous improvement programsDue to the volume of applications if you do not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.About TH Daniels: TH Daniels is a leading executive search and selection firm, offering retained, contingency, and PSL recruitment solutions across a variety of sectors.
