Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a team in Haverhill, Massachusetts. This Contract to Permanent opportunity is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience who is comfortable handling both payables and receivables while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help keep transactions organized, address account issues promptly, and contribute to smooth communication with customers and vendors.Responsibilities:• Enter and maintain financial records related to incoming and outgoing payments with a high level of accuracy.• Review billing and payment details to identify pricing issues and work directly with vendors to resolve discrepancies.• Follow up on overdue customer balances and support collection efforts with careful attention to detail.• Reconcile company credit card activity and record transactions correctly within accounting systems.• Handle questions from customers and vendors by providing timely, courteous, and solutions-focused responses.• Process invoices and supporting documentation to ensure accounts payable activities are completed efficiently.• Assist with accounts receivable tracking to help keep account balances current and well documented.• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting support or accounting clerk position.• Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.• Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial records.• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors or customers effectively.• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with external contacts.• Proficiency using accounting or financial systems and standard office software.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
