Controller

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our vascular services organization. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, optimizing revenue cycle management, and leveraging business intelligence systems to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role is for an individual based in South East Florida. Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage all aspects of general ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial regulations. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Revenue Cycle Management Lead end-to-end revenue cycle operations including billing, coding, collections, and payer relations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A/R, denial rates, and cash collections. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows and improve reimbursement. Business Intelligence & Analytics Implement and maintain BI tools to support financial and operational reporting. Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership. Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Compliance & Internal Controls Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Support audits and regulatory reviews, including Medicare/Medicaid compliance. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor accounting and billing staff. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Minimum 5–7 years of experience in healthcare finance, preferably in a vascular or specialty medical practice. Proven expertise in revenue cycle management and business intelligence systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with ERP systems and healthcare billing platforms. Salary is commensurate based on experience.
