Job DutiesStart Date: 03/01/2026End Date: 12/30/2026Work hours: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must Apply By: 08/1/2026Job Duties:Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and operate tractors to till the soil. Operate farming equipment and trucks in order to plant, spray, harvest and haul small grain crops, corn, corn silage and sorghum. Transport harvested crops from farm to market. Harvest, bale and stack alfalfa hay and hay straw. Load, haul and apply manure to fields. Service and repair farming machinery. Repair farm structures. General farm upkeep duties such as facility maintenance, mechanical duties and shop work. Winterize all farming equipment at the end of the growing season.Other Job Information:Because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Therefore, hours above 45 per week may be offered but are not guaranteed.Minimum Education RequiredNone. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025).
