Lab Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: The Clinical Laboratory Manager assists the Laboratory Director with technical and non-technical functions of the laboratory. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and implements the overall laboratory policies, procedures, and services for a unit and/or shift. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including department quality control and compliance adherence. Assists in development of the operating and capital budgets and assures lab is operated with budgetary goals. Plans for adequate staff coverage through implementation of staffing plans. Assists with interviews of employees, participates in orientation of new staff, and provides input into performance evaluations. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology or equivalent is required. Must be ASCP / AMT certified or equivalent. Must have current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment. One-year supervisory experience required. SALARY INFORMATION : $50.93-$57.97 Dependent on Experience Shift differentials may apply for eligible positions.
