Software Engineer - Platform

Location: Sunrise, FL | Flexible hybrid work environment after first 90 days of employment. As a Platform Software Engineer at SRT, a BlueHalo Company, you will play a pivotal role in our research and product development initiatives. You will collaborate with hardware prototypes and lab test equipment, integrate Linux kernel versions, develop device drivers, and optimize system performance. Your expertise in Linux architecture, embedded systems, and debugging will be instrumental in driving innovation and maintaining our competitive edge. Key Responsibilities: Work with hardware prototypes and associated lab test equipment. Integrate current Linux kernel versions and associated patches. Utilize experience with Linux or Unix Internals programming with device driver development. Platform/SOC porting and/or integration. System optimization. Scripting in Linux/Unix C code. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Linux device driver development experience. Familiarity with u-boot internals. Knowledge of Linux architecture/Kernel internals. Experience in Embedded/Real-time Systems. Familiarity with C/C++ development. Debug environment experience. Familiarity with: Embedded SOC platforms (e.g., ARM-based systems like NVIDIA, NXP, etc.). SMP systems. TCP/IP Internals. WIFI drivers and associated hardware. File system internals. Drivers for custom FPGA logic. Basic IO buses including (I2C, SPI, USB, PCI-E, etc).
