Senior TIG WelderOpen to 1st and 2nd Shift. 1st - 7am - 3:30 2nd - 3:30pm - 12am Swing - 11am - 8pmRequired Keywords (must be reflected on resume):AWS D17.1GTAW (TIG) WeldingStainless Steel and AluminumQualifications & Experience:Seeking experienced Senior TIG Welders; technical or trade school training is highly preferred.Extensive experience welding stainless steel and aluminum, typically in the 0.030 "0.060 " thickness range, including 347 Stainless Steel and 4043 Aluminum.Proven ability to perform high-precision, aesthetically clean TIG welds, requiring strong manual wire-feeding skills and exceptional weld consistency.Welding work demands an artistic level of craftsmanship, with intense attention to detail and visual quality.Backgrounds in automotive or motorcycle intake manifolds, fuel systems, tanks, or custom fabrication are highly desirable. Experience with custom intake manifolds is a strong plus.While many welders may be technically proficient, this role requires the ability to execute welds that meet both structural integrity and visual excellence standards.Welder Test Requirements:Candidates must bring their own welding helmet.Weld test includes:1G Stainless Steel 0.040 "1G Aluminum 0.040 "2F Fillet Weld 0.040 "Candidates should be pre-screened to ensure they can successfully pass this weld test.Performs a wide range of routine to complex manual welds utilizing a variety of process methods and equipment on several different types of stainless steel and aluminum alloys in the fabrication or repair of assigned parts and products. Perform a variety of approved welding techniques to required tolerances per engineering specifications; may perform work on new product development or experimental materials under the direction of engineering. Learns the supports lean manufacturing concepts and methods, including cell setup, mapping, and value streaming for efficient product flow. Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements. Adjust, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process in order to achieve product conformance. Assist and train other employees in daily activities as needed. Perform full set-up and maintenance to assure quality and repeatability; may be required to set up for other welders. Maintain appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilize this knowledge base to become proficient in new/unfamiliar assignments Maintain a satisfactorily high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements. Document and log all parts as necessary and maintain all required paperwork in an accurate and current manner. Maintain a high level of welding quality as documented by actual reject/nonconformance charting Maintain work area and equipment in an organized, clean, and FOD- free manner Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications in all appropriate metals. Accurately inspect and appropriately process all work performed; Client/detect defects, analyze, and take corrections. Actively implements lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Effectively applies lean concepts and tools in the work area. Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
