Site Supervisor - Construction

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. Duties Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to plans, schedules, and safety standards. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate smooth operations and timely deliveries. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify work aligns with project specifications. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Procore or similar construction management software to track progress and deadlines. Manage site safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety audits and enforce safety protocols among all personnel. Oversee quality control processes, inspecting work at various stages to ensure adherence to specifications and industry standards. Read schematics and use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary; ensure all work meets technical requirements. Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, incident reports, change orders, and progress reports. Lead supervising teams by assigning tasks effectively, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with contracts by reviewing scope of work, managing change orders, and resolving on-site issues promptly. Utilize construction site experience to troubleshoot issues related to pipeline installations or other specialized infrastructure projects. Skills Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong understanding of heavy civil or infrastructure projects. Expertise in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Solid knowledge of project scheduling techniques and tools like ProCore, for tracking milestones and deadlines. Familiarity with contracts management processes including review, negotiation, and enforcement of contractual obligations. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating methods like HeavyBid. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards; ability to implement safety protocols effectively on-site. Excellent management skills with prior supervising experience leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments. Ability to read technical schematics accurately; skilled in using electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters when needed. Knowledge of construction budgeting practices; capable of assisting in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Effective communication skills for coordinating between stakeholders at all levels; proactive problem-solving abilities.
