We partner with our clients to help them thrive.Position: Tax Accountant (in-office position)Location: Center City, Philadelphia (near Rittenhouse Square)We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our energetic and collaborative Tax team. This role is ideal for someone early in their public accounting career who is eager to grow, develop strong technical skills, and contribute meaningfully within a dynamic and expanding firm. You will work closely with senior team members and shareholders while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of tax and accounting engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, and corporations.Assist with tax research, planning, and general consulting projects.Support accounting services and help maintain client financial records.Communicate with clients to request information, clarify questions, and provide updates.Collaborate with senior accountants and firm leadership on various engagements.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)Actively pursuing CPA license1–2 years of experience in public accounting or relevant internship experienceStrong foundational knowledge of tax concepts and accounting principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasksExperience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax Suite or QuickBooks is a plusEager to learn, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a teamWhy Join Us?At J.
