Title: DERMS / GridOS Business Analyst & Test Engineer (SME)Location: South Florida (West Palm Beach or Miami area)Structure: 12-Month Contract-to-HireOverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / Test Engineer (SME) to support the implementation and enhancement of GE Vernova DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System) and GridOS Connect platforms. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring successful delivery of large-scale grid modernization initiatives, supporting system integrations, validating data flows, and driving end-to-end testing across complex utility systems.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & System ValidationSupport delivery of DERMS and GridOS Connect initiatives through requirements analysis, validation, and documentationDevelop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to ensure full test coverageAnalyze system requirements, data flows, and integration points across utility platformsTesting & Quality AssuranceDesign, develop, and execute test cases across:System TestingIntegration TestingEnd-to-End Workflow TestingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)Regression & Performance TestingEnsure high coverage of requirements and full execution of test cases prior to release phasesProduce Test Execution Summary Reports, including metrics, defects, and readiness criteriaIntegration & Data ValidationValidate integrations between DERMS and systems such as:ADMS, EMS, SCADA, AMI, and external DER aggregatorsIdentify data sources, define metadata requirements, and support data transformation logicDevelop and execute scripts (Python/Java) for:Data validationLog analysisIntegration testingRequired QualificationsExperience in Business Analysis and/or System TestingExperience working with utility or grid management systems (DERMS, ADMS, EMS, SCADA, AMI, etc.)Strong understanding of:Integration testing methodologiesEnd-to-end workflow validationExperience creating and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs)Proficiency in Python and/or Java for scripting and data validationExperience writing and executing detailed test cases across multiple testing phasesAbility to interpret APIs, technical documentation, and integration specificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with DER onboarding, dispatch logic, or telemetry validationFamiliarity with energy utilities or grid operations environmentsExperience with automated testing tools and frameworksWhat Success Looks LikeHigh-quality delivery of testing and validation across multiple system releasesSeamless integration between DERMS, GridOS Connect, and external systemsAccurate and complete traceability between requirements, test cases, and executionConsistent on-time delivery of reporting and project deliverablesAbout Us:At Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
