Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: RemoteDuration: 12 Months Must be an Ex- PG&E employeelocal to bay areaProficient in MS- WORD AND EXCELSummaryLooking for a Senior IT Project Manager to support one or more projects across the Electric IT Portfolio. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. The candidate will lead a team that designs and installs new IT applications or enhancements to existing systems. Project Managers are responsible for assembling the project team and using cost and scheduling tools to define the scope, budget, and resource needs, and controlling other project variables. PMs may also function as a liaison between IT and the Business Client, and act as the go-to person to represents the entire project from the planning through the deployment and release to operations stage.Title: Project ManagerResponsibilitiesThey need to own the forecasting/reviewing the actuals.Responsible for leading one or more complex projects typically between $1,000,000 - $10,000,000Gathering, defining and documenting project requirementsClearly defining and communicating roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team Obtaining and defining staffing requirements and forming project teamsProviding direction and leadership to project management analysts and schedulersExercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significanceConducting project kick-off meetingsRecording, tracking and communicating issues, risks, changes, and status reports within a PG&E standard toolAccurately and consistently forecasting project resource, material and contract costs within standard PG&E toolsDeveloping and maintaining up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plansMonitoring critical project milestones, and identifying ways to resolve schedule issuesCoordinating any required contract work within defined PG&E policyConducting site visits and walk downs as neededAssessing project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within specified cost, schedule, scope and quality objectivesCommunicating status of all projects to stakeholders and managementPreparing all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy Preferred qualificationsRequired industry experience: 7+ years experience managing one or more medium to high complexity IT product/application projects; Experience with IT professional service agreements and materials logisticsEducation and certifications: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMITechnical experience: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word; working knowledge with one or more of the following SAP modules: Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Work Management(WM), Material Management(MM). Experience with Primavera, PPMC, and Microsoft Visio a plusExperience with UtilitySolar generation experience hooking up with utility is a plus
