PCA Personal Care Assistant

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. The PCA will provide exceptional support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs in their homes or in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our clients while promoting their independence and dignity. Responsibilities - Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, grooming, and hygiene - Implement and maintain individualized care plans - Administer medication and monitor patients' conditions - Provide emotional support and companionship to clients - Assist with household chores and maintain a clean and safe living environment - Participate in resident rights training to ensure clients' rights are respected - Engage in patient monitoring, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans - Support clients in developing their skills and promoting their independence Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs - Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and ability to assist with these tasks - Ability to work in a home care or nursing home setting - Familiarity with medication administration and patient monitoring - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to client privacy - Reliable and punctual with a commitment to providing excellent care Skills - Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs - Knowledge of resident rights and ability to promote client autonomy - Ability to assist with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene - Experience with medication administration and patient monitoring - Familiarity with care plans and ability to implement them effectively - Skill in maintaining a clean and safe living environment - Experience working with working people with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a nursing home setting - Experience with patient monitoring and reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
