Privately HeldAbout the RoleThe Company is in search of an Executive Director of Early Commercial Strategy and Business Development to spearhead the transition to commercial readiness for its rare disease pipeline. This key role is at the intersection of commercial strategy, market planning, and partnership development, with a focus on supporting the launch of transformative therapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial launch strategies, building comprehensive launch plans, and leveraging market assessments and competitive analyses to guide decision-making. Additionally, the role involves identifying and executing partnership opportunities, leading the development of deal terms, and ensuring that all activities align with the company's mission and objectives.Applicants for this pivotal position at the company should hold a Ph.D., MD, and/or MBA, with a preference for a focus in life sciences, healthcare, or business. A minimum of 15 years' experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, particularly in the areas of rare diseases, oncology, or immunology and inflammation, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in early commercial strategy, launch planning, and operational implementation, as well as experience in developing commercial organizations and leading business development activities. Strong strategic planning, analytical skills, and exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities are essential. A deep understanding of the biotechnology landscape, including rare disease market dynamics and competitive intelligence, is also a key requirement for this role.Hiring Manager Title
